Fan Favorite Documentary American Mullet Goes Digital
Santa Monica, CA—(July 12, 2010) - GoDigital Media Group, a leading entertainment media distribution and marketing company, announced today its acquisition of the mullet themed documentary “American Mullet.” The announcement comes only a day after “American Mullet” director Jennifer Arnold premiered her Sundance hit “A Small Act” on HBO.
Under the terms of the deal, GoDigital will distribute “American Mullet” across all major digital destinations including iTunes, Dish Network, Netflix, CinemaNow, Amazon, and YouTube.
“I’m thrilled that “American Mullet” is getting back out to audiences,” said Arnold. “If there is anything the world needs right now, it is a mullet documentary.”
The mullet themed project started in 2001 when Arnold premiered her Internet series “The Mullet Chronicles” at the Sundance Online Film Festival. The project was so well received she immediately began developing the feature length documentary.
“Popular culture is fascinated by the mullet hair cut,” remarked GoDigital’s Chief Marketing Officer Logan Mulvey. “When I met Jennifer and she told me about the project I was immediately hooked, I’m glad the digital world will now have a chance to see this hilarious film.”

Beyond “American Mullet” Arnold began her directing career with an award-winning short, “Maid of Honor” which screened at Sundance before airing on HBO/Cinemax (USA) and Film 4 (UK). She then completed “Where the Girls Are,” a documentary short co-directed by Tricia Cooke and executive produced by Ethan Coen. Jennifer recently traveled to Kenya to direct the feature documentary “A Small Act”, a tale of a Kenyan man, whose life is changed by the kindness of a stranger. The film premiered in documentary competition at Sundance 2010 and received the National Geographic All Roads Film Award and the Adrienne Shelly Directors Award.
